Ebong Theatrix is thrilled to announce CommunET25, our 10-minute play festival celebrating storytelling, community, and creativity in the DMV! The festival will be held on Sunday, December 7, 2025, from 3 PM to 5 PM at:

We invite individuals and groups from across the DMV to participate — whether you’re a seasoned performer or new to the stage. Each selected team will present a 10-minute performance, with 2 minutes for setup and 2 minutes for strike. There is no entry fee to apply or participate.

Key Guidelines:

Open to individuals or groups from the DMV area (one submission per applicant). No entry fee.
Each play must be 10 minutes or less.
2 minutes for setup and 2 minutes for strike.
No tech rehearsal will be available; each team will get 5 minutes before the show to get familiar with the space.
Lighting will be basic — general wash only; no special cues or color changes.
Sound playback only is allowed. A line-in connection will be provided to the PA system. Teams must run their own sound cues.
Live music may be incorporated if it can be managed with a minimal number of audio channels.
No video playback will be possible.
Six theater blocks (18-inch cubes) will be available for shared use.
Content should be suitable for a mixed-age audience.
